Sage - Himalayan Wild Sage

These are not your common California White Sage. These are Himalayan Wild Sage we directly imported from the farm. We have waited for months for it to grow and harvest.

Himalayan Wild Sage is found in the region of Himalayan, farmers harvested this wild sage and brought it back to their farm to grow so they could have an ethical sustainable source. This species of sage is very sensitive and extra care is needed or most likely it won't last more than 2 months.

The smell of Himalayan Wild Sage is not overpowering like the California White Sage. Its fragrance is more calming and slightly minty and has a trail of tea fragrance. You can simply enjoy the aroma emitted from this sacred plant without burning it, you can feel calm, and relaxed and your mood lightens up.

Burning sage is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing a person, group of people, or space and of getting rid of unwanted spirits. The practice dates back to prehistoric times and it’s been documented as having been used in every corner of the world.

Before you light up, remember to open a door or window as the unwanted energy you are trying to clear must have a pathway to get out. Traditionally, people use an abalone shell to hold the sage in and then use a feather to fan and spread the smoke around the space when burning the sage. If you do not have these, any bowl that can withstand heat and is easy to hold when walking around the space is perfectly good enough. Remember, you are lighting something with fire so make sure you use the correct holder.

Once you're ready to light your sage, hold the sage as far from the end you are burning as possible. Hold the sage at a 45-degree angle, light the sage, let it burn for about 20 seconds and then gently blow out the flame so that you see orange embers on one end. Then you can start clearing your space, crystals, or human. If you see the glow of the embers fading you can gently blow on the end that is lit up and remember to do this gently, otherwise, you can send sage ash flying everywhere.

It is always good to say out your intention while smudging instead of just walking around looking like doing your mosquito fogging. There's a lot to be said about ”speaking things into existence,”—aka telling the universe what it is you want out loud. This is a way to carry your intention from inside your head out into the physical world.

Before any smudging is carried out, it is best to clean the space, object or human (bath), this is to remove any obstacle that forms between the smoke and the space, object or human.
